Location: London
Contract: Full-time
Reports to: FP&A Manager

Orega is one of the UK's leading flexible workspace operators. Established in 2001, we run 25 centres across the UK in partnership with landlords and corporate occupiers, and we are the UK's leading provider of flexible workspace under management agreements. Following a management buyout backed by Apiary Capital, we are now planning to grow to 50 sites by 2031, and our Finance team sits right at the centre of that plan.

We're looking for a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team, supporting the FP&A Manager on monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, landlord reporting and ad hoc analysis for senior management.

This is a broad, hands-on role with real exposure. You'll own the weekly and monthly reporting on sales, revenue and results, contribute to the KPI pack reviewed by the board, and act as a trusted point of contact for our landlords. It's an opportunity to build a deep understanding of how a growing, private equity backed business works, and to shape the analysis that helps senior management make better decisions.

Why this role is exciting

Orega's management agreement model means our Finance team works far more closely with landlords and partners than a typical FP&A function. You'll see the numbers behind every centre, understand the commercial nuances of individual agreements and produce reporting that goes directly to the board, landlords and other external stakeholders. With the business entering a period of accelerated growth, the scope of the role, and your own development, will grow with it.

What you'll be doing

Business reporting

  • Assist in preparing the monthly KPI reporting reviewed by the board of directors.
  • Take full ownership of weekly and monthly reporting on sales, revenue and results.
  • Oversee and analyse capital expenditure, providing clear insight into year-to-date spend against budget and explaining key variances.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for senior management on potential business opportunities within the existing business structure.

Landlord reporting

  • Own and manage the schedule of landlord reporting requirements.
  • Work with the wider Finance team on the preparation of landlord reporting packages.
  • Partner with key contacts in Sales and Operations to prepare comprehensive non-financial reporting.
  • Act as a key contact for landlords on ad hoc data requests, providing accurate and reliable information.

Budgeting and forecasting

  • Support the FP&A Manager in preparing the annual company budget, analysing historic revenue and cost trends and making insightful recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Prepare analysis of key variances between prior-year results and the current-year budget, giving the wider business clarity on the actions needed to achieve it.
  • Analyse mid-year forecasts, identifying key variances against budget and explaining the drivers behind them.

General support

  • Develop a deep understanding of the existing business portfolio, including the nuances of specific agreements, in order to support the wider team.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to the wider team, ensuring a professional, understandable and reliable delivery.
  • Uphold company policies, professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a Finance or FP&A role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable moving between retrospective performance analysis and forward-looking commercial analysis, connecting historic trends to forecasts, risks and future opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends and translate findings into clear commercial insight.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and build robust, flexible analysis.
  • Experience producing and analysing management information, including historic performance, variance analysis, KPIs and trend analysis.
  • Exposure to preparing high-quality reporting for senior management and, ideally, external stakeholders such as shareholders, lenders, landlords or other third parties, with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded, with a real interest in the operational drivers behind financial performance rather than simply reporting the numbers.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, challenge assumptions and support decision-making, adapting your communication style to your audience.
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working across a varied workload, balancing recurring reporting with ad hoc analysis and project-based work.
  • Proactive and intellectually curious, with a willingness to investigate performance, ask questions and identify areas for improvement or further analysis.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership of deliverables and manage competing priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the flexible office or commercial real estate sectors is preferred but not essential.
  • Part-qualified accountant, qualified by experience, or a graduate with relevant finance or analytical experience; progression towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous.

About you

You'll be someone who is as interested in why the numbers move as in what they say. You're rigorous and precise, but you're equally comfortable stepping out of the spreadsheet to talk to Sales, Operations or a landlord and get to the real story. You take ownership, you meet your deadlines and you take pride in producing work that people can rely on.

You'll be especially well suited to this role if you are:

  • Ambitious – you take ownership of your reporting, look for ways to improve it and want to grow with the business.
  • Genuine – you communicate clearly and honestly, and you're not afraid to challenge an assumption when the data doesn't support it.
  • Agile – you move comfortably between recurring reporting, ad hoc requests and project work as priorities shift.
  • Dependable – your numbers are right, your deadlines are met and your colleagues and landlords can rely on you.
