What is FlexGrade?

Flexible workspace has grown quickly, but until now there haven't been many common ways to compare quality between providers. Two centres can look similar on a website or a tour and feel very different once your team has moved in.

FlexGrade was created to fix that. It gives operators, brokers and occupiers one consistent framework for describing workspace quality, based on objective, measurable data rather than marketing claims. As FlexGrade puts it: "Hotels have stars. Flexible workspace has FlexGrade."

How the FlexGrade assessment works

Every location is reviewed each year against the FlexGrade quality framework. Rather than focusing on looks or location alone, it measures quality the way people actually experience a workspace, across eight categories:

1. Building profile

2. Amenities and services

3. Guest experience

4. Space design and configuration

5. Network infrastructure and security

6. Health, safety and wellbeing

7. Compliance and accreditation

8. Sustainability and environmental impact

The overall certification reflects how a building performs across the whole framework, not in one area. Because the review is repeated every year, a certification has to be maintained, not just won once.

What FlexGrade Gold means for our clients

Corporate occupiers now look well beyond the address and the interior design. Service, technology, wellbeing, safety and how a building runs day to day all shape the decision, and those are exactly the things that are hardest to judge from a single visit.
