The H&S Consultant has overall responsibility for Health & Safety across Orega’s serviced offices across the UK.

Key Responsibility

Your key responsibilities will include:

Health & Safety

  • Experience in H&S requirements and regulations around the serviced office/flexible working/co-working industry. Keeping up to date with safety legislation within the industry.
  • Ability to carry out H&S audits annually across all centres in the business.
  • Direct point of contact for staff when needed, providing competent advice to the company in regard to H&S and legal compliance.
  • Ability to write and amend H&S policies when needed for the business.
  • Work alongside the Operations team to ensure that managers and supervisors carry out safe operating practices and procedures to include managing emergency procedures and to include continuous competency of fire marshals and fist aiders.
  • To review and organise completion of Risk Assessments for the business as and when needed.
  • Ensure that the company health & safety policies, systems and practices are in place to enable full legislative compliance to be achieved, good governance and a consistently safe environment for clients and staff. Consistently review the health & safety policy and practices to reduce risk and improve the health & safety culture of the company.
  • To make sure that all accident investigations are completed within a suitable time frame and assist in handling any compensation claims.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Read and comply with instructions and directions as communicated via signs, notice boards and memos.
  • Conduct yourself, at all times, in a professional and responsible manner, promoting a good and proper image of Orega.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Relevant IOSH qualifications required (TechIOSH or above preferred)
  • Interest in learning about commercial business environments and general finance.
  • Ability to demonstrate systems monitoring and compliance is necessary.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literate and will to learn and show others how to use IT/Telephony is essential.

  • Confidence to interact with a range of clients up to Board level.
  • The ability to multi-task.
