Staines is recognised as a major centre for business and commerce, offering excellent communications with Heathrow Airport, the M25/M3/M4 motorway network and A30/A4 into London. Staines railway station provides a regular service to London Waterloo (fastest time 31 minutes). Ash House is situated at the eastern end of Staines on Fairfield Avenue, joining directly into London Road, which links with the Crooked Billet roundabout. From here, it is possible to reach the M25 within a minute or head eastbound into London on the A30. Staines railway station is only a short walk from the building, and the town has a good cycle path network, making it ideal for all types of commuter.

The town centre is focused on a wide pedestrianised High Street, where one of the largest and busiest street markets in Surrey is held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It is complemented by the recently redeveloped Elmsleigh shopping centre. Thorpe Park is close by.
