Flexible office provider Orega has enjoyed a surge in office deals at its Staines business centre, with seven new signings in recent weeks totalling 87 workstations.
Three of the businesses – Coraid, an American technology manufacturing company, Dubai-based McDermott Caspian Contractors and Finch Commercial – have established a presence in Staines for the first time.
Coraid, which has its headquarters in California, has taken 10 workstations on a one-year contract for its UK base. It designs and manufactures computer data storage products, branded as EtherDrive, which are sold throughout the world.
McDermott Caspian Contractors has signed for nine desks for a year. A subsidiary of engineering company McDermott International, it delivers fixed and floating production facilities, pipelines and subsea systems, with its main focus on Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea.
Finch Commercial, an insurance broker and independent financial adviser with offices in Reading, Basingstoke and Southampton, has taken a one-person office in Staines, while at the other end of the scale, a deal for 25 workstations has been agreed with an unnamed occupier.
Orega has succeeded in attracting three of the new signings – Isosceles Finance and recruitment companies Pertemps and Adams & Oliver – from a nearby office building in Staines. Isosceles Finance, which advises emerging and growing businesses on interim, part-time and outsourced accounting and HR solutions, has taken a year’s contract on 20 workstations. Adams & Oliver has signed for 14 workstations for two years while Pertemps has taken eight for six months.
Sarah Pennacchini, business centre manager for Orega Staines, says of the recent deals: “We’ve enjoyed a wave of activity at our Staines business centre in the last few months which has resulted in signings totalling almost 5,800 sq ft. International clients like Coraid and McDermott recognise our excellent access to Heathrow airport, London and southern England via the motorway network, while our flexible and well-equipped offices and professional, friendly staff appeal to a wide range of companies considering relocating or expanding.”
Staines’ first-rate location and well–established presence in the town has made it the preferred location for Orega’s new marketing suite. Stylishly fitted out with comfortable leather furniture, in-room refreshments and helpful reading material about the building, the marketing suite provides a very relaxed, private environment for sales meetings with potential clients. Orega intends to roll out the concept to other business centres starting with its newest business centre in Hammersmith.
Another new initiative Orega has recently launched in Staines is its part-time office scheme, available to individuals who need a permanent office base but spend a large part of the week on the move. Up to four individuals can be accommodated in the office suite set aside for this scheme, with each having a permanent desk partitioned from the others to afford privacy.
Orega’s Staines business centre is located on Fairfield Avenue at the eastern end of the town centre, close to the mainline railway station and just 12 minutes’ drive from Heathrow.
